Why are antioxidants good for your skin? Inflammation impedes the skin’s renewal process. By reducing inflammation, antioxidants allow skin to repair itself and correct visible damage. Antioxidants help maintain our skin’s health and overall appearance. Beta Carotene Oil and Vitamin E Oil are some that we use in our products. It also offers our skin protection against UV radiation.
All Essential Oils and Hydrosols are adaptogens. This is a natural substance that promotes a balancing reaction in the body. They work to improve the body’s ability to overcome stress and fatigue that contribute to disease. Some Essential Oils improve healing, suppress infection and speed up the healing process. They do this all without interrupting the body’s normal functions.
Emollients function to stabilize products. Also called emulsifiers, they are the reason oil can mix with water. Emulsifying Wax, Stearic Acid, Cetyl Alcohol, and Behentrimonium Methosulfate 25% (BTMS) are used to combine all the oil-based ingredients with water.
The preservative is made of several naturally sourced ingredients and offers protection against bacteria, yeast and mold.
